Does any one have the specs for a olds 455 stage 1 motor? I`m looking for HP,torque, weight, thanks

Thinking about one FAST flatty :rasta:

Get yourself a Mondello catalog. I think it's got all the info you need. I had a 455 in my 69 Cutlass, kickass. Had cooling issuses. It would be close to boiling over as soon as I got stuck in traffic. They are als kinda heavy and parts ain't cheap. Loads of torque though. :D

Did Olds also have a "Stage 1" motor. Or are you talking Buick 455 Stage 1?

Buick Stage 1 455CI 510 ftlbs Torque @ 2800 RPM :eek:

The olds 455 is notorious for a weak crankshaft. The Pontiac or Buick would be a better choice.

What year and what car? My freind has a old ass service manual that has specs for all the cars from the 60's and early 70's. I think that would be a great wheeling motor, broad power and not as heavy as other big blocks.
