So a buddy of mine believes that the Torqueshift is made by Allison and I cant seem to prove to him that it is not. Am i totaly stupid here? I dont usualy post in the ford section (because i never have any problems with my 05' powerstroke :D ) but i need yall to inform him (hopefully not inform me).

It's not made by allison. Don't know how to prove it to him, but it's made by Ford.

Not made by allison and ford is already taking it out of production:shaking: to many issues with them and super expensive to rebuild. Ford designed and produced this transmission, i learned this from a rebuilders seminar i attended in 02. It is pretty much a full electronic version of the e4od and 4r100. The valvebody only has one valve in it the rest of it is solenoids and pressure switches. That sounds good in theory until you have a planetary explode and fill everything up with metal, I don't even want to think of the cost of replacing six solenoids and seven pressure switches let alone what the rest of the transmission will end up costing.

Thanks guys! Trannyboy, do u really think the torqueshift is that bad? So far i havent heard anything really negative about them as far as Auto Trannys go.
