So does anybody have pics of how they made a bracket to put a gm alternator into the stock location? I have the pulley on the alternator changed out to run the same fat type v belt that is used on a 73 f motor. just need pointers on measurements and how tough it was to do. It already looks like fun. I have ideas, and it incldes the stock bracket, some dom tube and welding.

but just wanted your thoughts and maybe a link to a supplier of a conversion kit if they are cheap enough. the stocker is not putting out the amperage i would like. I have done this on my 81 toy p/u. but this thing has a big ass saginaw pump on the passenger side already so I figure stock location would be fine.

Call Marks Offroad in burbank (65swb45 here on this board) and buy a bracket from him... I believe he sells them, if not, he would know where to get one....

usually you would relocate to the pass side like the later cruisers have stock i believe is the correct way to do them... this is what i have done on my old 67 f-motor

I just took mine (stock alt bracket, driver's side above motor mount) off yesterday. Do you need the mounting bracket? It is off a 73 F. I don't think I will have to use it for scrap to make my steering box mount. Send me a PM if you do.

I already have a stock bracket, i am wondering if i can just cut and weld on it to make a bracket. i have an idea i think it may work.
