Actually, many parts of that rig are IH, including the engine, tranny, hood, firewall and dash, driver, etc.

How many parts on anyone's rig were made by IH? Our rigs were assembled by IH. But, IH didn't make most of the stuff on my rig.

This is the mod board. If you want only stock IH's, wrong place to be!!!

Some is the operative word, but you are getting close to having to measure it in square inches of stock sheet metal, instead of sq ft. ;) It is going to be one bad machine when you get it all finished.

How did the front end go?

I picked up a 3/4" drill bit, and a new drill, then drilled out my 3/8" plate. Wrists are a bit sore though.

Wore the bit out after two holes, so I was getting a little frustrated.. Then it occurred to me, i should just get out the grinder and sharpen the bit. Sure nuff. Sharpened right up, in fact, got it sharper than factory, and it cut those last tow holes like they were made of butter.

Also found some bronze bushings for the upper Heim, to take it from 3/4" to 1/2". Need to drill out the upper shackle holes from 3/8" to half inch, then it will be time for assembly. Then, swap out the oil pan gasket, drop in the new valve body, and I will be ready for funny rocks...... I think.

Thanks for letting me use your press the other night.

Front end is going well. should have it setting on the springs this weekend if all goes well.
Sounds like you have your stuff figured out. Let me know if you need help or just to use the toys.

Pipe bender is easy but exhaust tube is not. If your doing real shallow bends it may work but too sharp and it will kink.
Your welcome to give it a try.:)

I'll give it a try, and stick to shallow bends. Next week sometime. I'll drop you a line to find out when is good. Right now, I have to go see Spiderman with my 6 year old!!! :D

Uh..Hooper, the pipe bender will not work for exhaust...I know from personal experiance:emb3: ...It will start to flatten out the tube almost immediately and will kink it if you continue.

Oh just the never ending saga of reworking everything. Done some major changes to the suspension and body this time. Needs to be done before memorial day so should have a pic or two soon.
