I'm in the final prestart check testing phase of converting a 302 to 1993 Mustang EFI.

One thing I want to verify is that I have the high pressure fuel pump connected in the correct direction. I am installing a used fuel pump for a F250.

Which end is the pump output? The end with the wires coming out or the end oposit from the wires??

Good thing I asked before I tried to start the engine. I installed the high presure pump backwards.

Switching the 302 over from 4 barrel carb & Duraspark ignition is my first ever venture into the world of EFI. There are now at least 3 times more wires in the rig and the fuel delivery system for 3 fuel tanks is a whole lot more complicated than the 302 mechanical pump and a single 3 way brass fuel selector.
