So i went up to Autozone today and the slacker behind the counter could not find me a match for the radiator hose to a Chevy 350 to a OEM radiator in my fj40. I cut up a old hose in my garage to the exaxct length and curve, but they still could not find a match for the correct diamater.
Does anybody have a part number for the top and bottom hoses.
Thanks

autozone,checker,shucks...I dont waste my time. If I have to go in those places I ask if I can go behind the counter and get the hoses I need.

I run flex hoses, and ask the guy for the diameter and length I need.

You will run flex on top. 24" with 1.5" at one end and 1.25" at other . ( NAPA)
I would get the spring coil outa the old hose and work it into new flex to prevent collapse and it keeps it stiff coming off radiator where it crosses fan blades. Maybe 2 spring coils if you got some old hose around. That is what I did.
For the bottom it is tough. Not much room to bend flex so you gotta find a hose that works bend wise. IIRC an 86 blazer hose with some trimming and a spring inserted works. The blazer hose will be 1.75" water pump end and 1.5" radiator end so you will need a reducer at radiator end. The reducer is at NAPA part # 901 it is like a speedi sleeve outa rubber that slides over radiator snout so the 1.5 hose clamps tight. I used this 4 years ago and not a drop. The part of the blazer hose you want is the 90* bend . IIRC I trimmed about 2" off the 1.75" water pump end and alot off the other. It puts the bottom hose close to fan blade so check clearance. Mine is about 3/4" clear of fan cutting hose. Engine and chassis flex have not caused a problem there yet and won't IMO.

Top hose is a Gates 20416.
Bottom hose is a Gates 20573.
Any parts store should have these or there equivalent. Flex hoses will work but it looks better to me if you use a factory looking hose.
