: how much is this t-case worth?
RoCkSkuLLz 04-29-2002, 10:50 AM How much is this transfercase worth if I were to sell it? Im thinking about selling it and going atlas.
Its a Np-231, New "Tera Low" 4 to 1 conversion with about 300 miles on it, Rubicon Express slip yoke eliminator kit, and recently rebuilt entirely!
Thanks for you input!
marley 04-29-2002, 10:54 AM I'd call up Teraflex to get a good idea, as they are selling complete 231's w/ sye and 4:1 now. That should give you a price to go off of.
onebadxj1 04-29-2002, 07:19 PM i will give you one dollar twenty one cents a button and my first born child is this suffient?
TPIJeep 04-29-2002, 07:30 PM I would say at least the cost of the 4-1 and the SYE plus 100-150 bucks?
Wooders 04-29-2002, 11:21 PM Is this the same t/case listed at $300 on your BB http://www.rockskullz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=451 (Your BB ) ?
LordRatner 04-30-2002, 11:54 AM thats a good package, and I want to buy it, but i wont have the cash till august :emb: the one on the other site just had the SYE on it, with the gear, id say at least 500$.

You'd pay the new parts price for something that coulda been run ragged and not maintained? Bet the used car salesmen love you
Seriouslly I'd guess in the $750 range for it.

Daless2 04-30-2002, 08:38 PM Hi Rockbuggy,
When I wanted to go from the NV 231 + Tera 4:1 to an Atlas I got a bit creative. Here is what I had and how I handled it.
Mine was an NV231 with HD SYE, Tera 4:1, Tera 2 Low, Wide chain and sprocket, new oil pump and all new bearings.
Nothing but the rear case half had more then 8,000 total miles on it.
I sold it to a friend for $1,000 Plus half of what we sold his original T/case with HD SYE. (We split $500).
Bottom line? He received a top notch case for a total cost of $750 and is a happy camper.
I received $1,250 which I put toward my Atlas to offset the costs.
Did I break even. No way, but by getting creative you can salvage an entire NV 231 that can be sold to offset everyone's costs.
Just a thought for you. Hope it helps.

Rob Kosinski 05-01-2002, 05:23 PM I just sold mine for around $1000. It had 4 to 1 and a Mit SYE and I sold it with Driveshaft. Put it on JU. It will sell. Good luck.
