Has anyone tried drilling new holes in the leafs? I have heard it was very hard metal and wondered if any of you knew any trick or good drill bits to use. My goal is not necessarily to gain wheelbase but to get the overhang gone to help improve approach/depart angles. I figured drilling would be cheaper than buying new offset springs and I am a cheap bastard!!

You can drill them.... You will need to get about 3 bits a case of beer and a good drill press and lots of lube. It has been done!
