The trip to Carnegie just made me want to go out for some real wheelin even more!
During the BBQ we talked about a couple of runs. Here's what I am committing to so far...

May 17 18 19 - Hollister Hills - Whole family

July ? - Amanda's B-day Rubicon - Kids at Grandma's

August? I'd like to get a Rubicon run in with Scouts West

Sept? Oct? P4X4 Clean up

That's all I have. Let me know what else you guys/gals are doing so I can plan accordingly.

Has Abba committed to the May run to HH? If he decides to pass, how 'bout a trip to Loon/Wentworth/McKinstry??? Good for your family and we could get some 'Con in as well :D

Just tell Amy that the weather report has the daytimes temps in the mid to upper 80's and the water temp right around 70 :bounce:

July 26 27 28 29th is NWBR plan on leaving for shasta night of 25th any takers? I know i set the word for 19th but i guess that just tells you how lost i am.:rasta: all well. let sean or i know if you are intrested.

I don't know about Abba making HH this month. I was talking to him about it last night, and he told me if caught prerunning HH he could be disqualified. However, we did talk about bringing mine down :D

Amanda, when's your b-day in July? My g/f's is on the 29th, as a virgin to the con (Never been there before) I'd like to head out there with you guys if it's around July 29th so I can take my g/f along for the trip :D I told her I'd take her next time I head out and being around her birthdate would be perfect. Although...I'll probably be the ugly duck in the group since you'll all be in Scouts and I'll be outwheeling you all in my 4Runner :D :D Just kidding. :rasta:

We're planning on running the trap Sat morning. Setup camp friday evening. Let me know if you two are goning we can meet up along the way.

When is the JJ coming through? Will it be paved then? BTW that's my B-day weekend too! I might be up there (I talked to Joe about it)

The part they dont tell you is that they close the trail the weekend before JJ for "Trail Maintenance"

My experience has been that they will allow you to use the trail but Rubicon Springs is off limits.

If we come in from the Tahoe side they won't know until we are down the trail.

All depends on where you are and how much stacking/paving they are doing. I have been there when they BLOCK the trail with a Jeep and dont let anyone through until they are done. Just something to think about.

Well, if the Kalifornians can make NWBRU, I guess I can, too..

I'm busy the weekend before though.. that's Rendezvous!!

I checked with JJ today regarding access to the Rubicon on the weekend of 7/20. The woman I spoke to said it sould not be a problem. They plan on closing the trail on 7/21 and as long as we're on our way out back through Loon, we'll be ok :)

Hey Mark,

I checked the dates and it turns out that NWBRU is actually the weekend *after* the 20th, so I may be able to run the 'con with everyone after all, except that my brother and I will have *just* returned from Peru only days before, so the logistics may be difficult for us. We'll give it hell though and won't give up without a fight! :D

I hope we can make it; I enjoyed everybody's company at the bbq and would like to make it to another event with this crowd.
