Got a 79 Bronco T-case, was wanting to know if or how I could mate it to a 93 Explorer? I should be able to machine a adapter some what but is it even possible?? If this can't be done, what other manual t-cases out there that have low gears and are swapable?? thanks fellas:rasta:

Try http://www.explorer4x4.com and http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/
they are more applicable to your aplication. Also including more info on your planed swap including your current transmission helps. But personally I am not 100% sure as to what will swap work or not But I don't see why not.

your explorer tranfercase has 2.48:1 and the 79 bronco case depending on what it is 205 more than likely is 1.96:1 why would you want that ?
also your tranny in the explorer will :nuke: way before the case so id worry more about that :flipoff2:
p.s. your stuck with tranny case combo untill you go custom and theres only 1 auto that can be swaped in and it aint easy to find :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

then why not buy some gears:smokin: as for your tranny swap spend some time under some trucks and see what they have. have you ever lifed an NP205 case? You were only joking about hanging that off your transmission weren't you?

Just lookin at offroad designs web page, they have a doubler with a np203 to a np205. They said for fords that the np203 would just bolt up to the tranny, even on the explorer tranny??? If so, then what do the np203 come out of? :rasta:
ok first off what tranny do you have ,what case
and NO a 203 wont bolt to a expolder tranny its all pipe dream
now go out smack yourself up side the head and come to your senses:smokin:
the only option you have is a C5 tranny outa a 83 B-II or ranger
take that and get a adapter to a dana 20 EB case and yopu can have your almost as low gears as stock case .

Finally, I think I might know what I want to run, Think about this, a C5/kluneV/bw1350 or C5/Torque Splitter/bw1350? Wonder which one gives the lowest crawl ratio, might just have to call advance adapters and find out.:flipoff2: Any complaints on running this setup???

I explained it all to you on the Explorer Forum. Check there.
It would probably be cheaper in the long run to save up for the Atlas 2 than try to adapt a 203 to your tranny and then to get a doubler.

Thanks man, SO what you are saying to me is that it is going to cost me couple thousand to get good crawl ratio..............mmmmmmmm...........  I wish I had money.........:rasta:

You are going to get it only one way. With money.
Either by buying adapters, doubler kits, making new crossmembers, changing drivelines, etc etc.
Or by purchasing a t-case with lower gearing already.
Or by regearing your diffs.
Or any combination that will work.
Bottom line, this isn't a cheap man's sport. You are going to have to spend money sometime.
hey Cory what if he adds a body lift will that lower his crawl ratio  :flipoff2: :D
its cheap and effective

I think I will just add the biggest tire that I can, then I will be able to crawl:flipoff2: haha:cow:
