you need the 78-81 chevy c-10 pickup mounts and block brackets for a 350 diesel 5.7L
i have a pair of the brackets from an original 81 c-10 350 diesel i parts but i aint selling them you also need the manifolds from one and i have them and i aint sellin them either lol
the diesel 350 was an oldsmobile and was used from 78-85 in c-10 trucks and in alot of cars such as caprices impalas and so on
you need these mounts and manifolds from a c-10
somewhat common depending on where you are but by now most have been swapped out for a gas engine and alot were in 78 mainly, youll see a chevy truck running around with a 403 or 455 or something else and this is how they do it, originally were 350 diesel trucks in most all cases
if oyu need more info then lemme know

just to clarify, olds manifolds fit big block cadillac motors?
will the 350 diesel motor mounts require modification to work, or are they a bolt on ordeal...
anyone know anything about the oil pan...?

I had a 84 pickup that had a caddy 425 in it. There's some company out there that sells and adapter kit to mount the engine. Couldnt tell you any more than that, that was quite a while ago, search around on google. Keep in mind though, caddy engines are freakin EXPENSIVE to hot rod (go figure huh?), so i hope you dont plan on doing a whole lot of upgrading.

no, its a 1970, 10:1 compression, supposedly rated at 375HP, 525TQ... maybe a cam and an intake...

the main prob with the caddy motors is that they have cast iron rods and super soft valve springs. the 500 rod is the same #'s as a olds 455 which uses forged rods.
as long as you use a Buick/Olds/Pontiac tranny its a fairly easy swap, alot of the bop stuff is interchangable.

anyone know anything about the oil pan...?
Yup, you have the front sump common to DeVilles from '68 to at least '76. Once you swing your 472 in there and see where your diff and crossmember are, you have three OEM pan choices which will fit that 472 engine. Mid sump pans from '77-79 425cid Devilles have a sump which begins about 11" back from the front edge. '70-76 500cid Eldorados used a rear sump pan which begins about 14" back from the front edge. You will need the oil pick up tube for either the 425 or Eldo pans so buy em as a pair. Lastly, you can use a '80-83 or so 368cid equipped Eldo pan, which has a sump that begins about 15" back from the front edge and which is offset to the drivers side, which works well with passenger side drop front diffs. The 368 tube will not work with your 472 block but a tube from a 500 Eldo will work.
