My 93 chevy pickup 350 motor auto trans is acting strange and driving me nuts. It died one day, wouldn't start until cooled off then ran for awhile and died again. Now it won't start because the injectors won't flow fuel. I can get fuel to flow if I ground out either blue or green wire to the injectors but there is no controlling it. Fuel pump has been changed and there's plenty of pressure. Map sensor is changed along with O2 sensor, antiknock sensor, throttle position sensor, egr vacuum solenoid, and ecm and prom with nothing helping. My wiring diagram shows EVRV and I'm not sure what this is. Anybody else ever have problems like this????? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

for us it was the pink wire from the distrib to the coil it was broken inside the insulation you couldnt tell and we had the exact same problems

we couldnt figure it out forever and ever,

20 bucks for a new coil harness from the chevy dealer and it was good as new

try it

fuel is dependent on spark.
The ECM will not send a signal to the inj's to fire them unless it recieves the DRP-distr ref pulse.

The number 1 failure in TBI systems I have seen is the EST in the distr.

There is also the pick up coil in there that the green and white wires will corrode and lose contact with the P and N terminals on the EST.

If you don't have fuel then check for spark....

Here is a link to the autozone HEI distr trouble shooting...start here (http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/08/5d/3a/0900823d80085d3a.jsp).

Swapping parts will only cost you money... learn how the system works and trouble shoot it logically!!
