wheel spacers to me seem like they would put more preasure on the hub (or nuckle). the longer the tire (rim) gets away from the axal, seems like it would just want to:nuke: easier. am i right or wrong:question:

I have 1.25" spacers and have never broken anything because of them in 3 years.I used them with 33",35" and now 38.5x14.5" tires

I think they might just put more leverage on the wheel studs, perhaps depending upon the specific design. The rest of your argument above is also true for a wheel w/minimal backspacing. Of course for the price of most quality spacers you can get a set of steel wheels.

I went with Performance Wheel spacers. They are the strongest I was able to find and are top notch quality.http://www.performancewheel.com

I believe those are the ones I have. I bought them through sams offroad. I am running a 1.5" on a dana 44 and 9" with 36". So Far I have been very happy with them.

I also run the performance spacers. 1.5" in the front, 2" in the back. No probs with the front YET, but the rear studs did bend from hot rodding on the street. Inspected the spacers, not a sign of trouble, I just beat in new studs. I run 38 sx's with em.
