What kind of adjustments do I need to make on the carb when it starts getting cooler in my area? The last week or so have been really cool since we swapped the motor in this year, and its starting to bog down pretty bad. We think its the choke, will look back into it.

Also would adding a fuel pump, the kind that just bolt up on your frame outside the tank, help improve starting times? It takes a long time for me to start the motor after the jeep has sat for more then 30 mins. When you look at the fuel filter before starting, you can hardly see any gas, but after running the jeep for a while and it start to sit the fuel filter is full.

I havn't checked the bowl yet, but I just think its not filling up fast enough.

Any suggestions on pump type if this is acceptable?

This is all going to be on an AMC 304, not so stock.

personally, i like these, most electrics HAVE to be close to the tank. I've mounted these on the inerfender near the top in a mustang and they pull fuel fine. most will only push. never had any real problems, cheap enough to keep a spare, easy to change, I carry a spare even though i have NEVER had one fail after years of use. you may wnat to use one of their 30 dollar range regulators, I run about 3 street and 5 off road(helps keep the needle from sticking). you can all so run 2 of these and 2 one way valves 2 tanks and a 3 way switch for a duel tank setup works great

as for carb adjustment, you shouldn't have to adjust it for cooler weather unless your trying to get every ounce of HP from it then you need thousands of dollars of test equipment which since your asking in the nebie section i doubt you have or have ever heard of (mainly nascar and NHRA stuff) and to be honest if you had these machines and or knew how to use them you would not be asking questions (no offence)

it actually sounds like the choke is not opperating correctly, is it elctric? use a test light and make sure it's getting power with the switch on. if it is, it prob needs adjusted.
