Here is where I decided to stick the fuel cell, it has a 2" sump that is dropped thru the bed

This is the sump from underneath, the braided hose is the fuel line, and the red hose is a drain line with a pitcock on it.

Memorial Day weekend, Mike and Jesse will be testing their competition rigs, if they get them built. You started your buggy yet?

not yet. i will sometime in the next year. i just hate to tear into it now because i will be using all of my current drive train. i have the vortec 350, th400 atlas, d60, and 14bolt so there is no where to go with it and i am happy with how it works. the problem with that is i have to tear mine down to build it. i had my jeep down for like 9 months of last year so i want to keep playing for a while. plus i have had my jeep for 12 year and it was my first vehicle so there is some sentimental valuse there. oh well last week i bougt a 1970 fj40 that i will use the front clip for my buggy. i still wanted front sheet metal from the dash forward so it will resembal a rig. the fj40 came alon at the right price so that is what it is gonna be. the rest will be tube though. i have family coming in on memorial day so that is a no go. the first week of june i'll be treking out to tellico to wheel with chris (aka shitneck) and a few others. i think langston (red lengthened sami on d44's) might go too. anyway we'll have to plan a big run this summer or something.brian

I am not overly familiar w/ Scouts, but was that poor beast that UGLY when it was born?! That thing could make an AMC Matador puke!

I do LOVE it though!

Not sure what it looked like when it was born, but it was even uglier when I got it.

 now those are some meats!!!! i have considered going to 42's but i will wait until i build the fj40/buggy and see what i think then. i just wish they made a 39.5 or 42" sx. i am a big sx fan and i can't have them if i go bigger than what i run now. you, mike and skeetshooter should load up and come to tellico with me and shitneck the first of next month.

Sounds like a good time, but no way I could make the trip, going back to school this summer to start on my Masters degree and a principals certificate, the three of us all have the comp. at Cass AR in June, made a deal today to graze some cattle on my place that I will have to watch pretty close, and I will probably have the axles out of the scout at that time anyway.

Lets plan a weekend for Clayton or Poteou sometime after June.

Are you trying to tell me a stock JEEP can do the 'Con, but a stock Scout can't?

COME AWN.

You don't need a lift or lockers to wheel! You've been reading too many magazines and hanging out with too many Jeepers at school! :flipoff2:

And, Hayraker.. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure your Scout would beat mine for Ugliest Truck.. functional for sure, but.. ick. :D

don't be sorry man, I'll take #1 anytime, even if it is for being ugly.

I prefer to call it 'trail tacky' instead of ugly:flipoff2:
