Trailkeepers rocks! They work with private land owners in exchange for use of the land! Jellico is private, and open to our use soley because of Trailkeepers! I wish my Jeep was ready to go! I'll be taking pics at every ERoCC held there. The pics from last time will be up soon! I'll keep ya'll informed.

It is private. The only way to get into the land, currently, is on an organized Trail Keepers Trail Ride or during and ERoCC Competition.
This is due to the fact that Trail Keepers manages this area of the land for the land owner. Trail Keepers has well over 1000 hours of volunteer work in the area to create and maintain trails and obstacles that are used for the ERoCC Competitions. The landowner does not want his land opened up to the public, but has been nothing but supportive when it comes to giving Trail Keepers access to work the property into a facility that offers some very challenging rock crawling.
By supporting Trail Keepers through attending Trail Rides, Cleanups, and Competitions, you are helping put $$$ back into the exact same land that you are riding on. Nobody gets rich off of the income, in fact, nobody makes a dime...100% of all revenue goes back into maintaining, creating, and acquiring more private land for multi-use access.

Sorry for sounding like an infomercial. Now back to your regularly scheduled posting.

Damn  I have to go to the beach that weekend
Is there any other time you are planning on doing this. I'd actually like to drive my Jeep on those obstacles sometime, instead of just telling someone else how to do it:D
On a side note- I don't know how you guys pumped up the last ERocC event, but I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of female spectators and their looks :D Keep up the good work.

hahaha... you're killing me. As if you weren't beating the guys off the one you had tailing you around all weekend!!!!! :D
However, we are always amazed at the amount of "lookers" that Jellico has to offer based on the size of the town. It's truly a blessed town, that's for sure.
We may have other runs throughout the year, but it is getting more/more unlikely. Tim and I are simply running out of time to get things done on the events we currently have planned without adding anymore pokers to the fire.
Maybe after the ERoCC Comps are over, we will have a run there or something... it's always good to go in there and play in the Winter time, unless there is a snow on.

The place looks increadable and all and I would love to come down for the ride, but $95 is a little steep for a weekend.
I realize that it ALL goes back into the trails, but that still doesn't make it any easier to come up with. Looks like you have a good thing going on there. Good luck with the event!

For the $95 fee, you also get two catered dinners, and it pays for the insurance that the land owner requires. And anyone who is in insurance knows, because of 9/11, all liablity policies have gone up drastically. Our policy went up 60% from last year's event.
