Im new to the Zuk world and have a couple questions...
Can I adapt a 22r to stock sami trans? or Can I adapt stock sami t-case to toy 5-speed? and were might I find the adapters?
Reason I put alot of money into my t-case and want to keep it but want to put a 22r.
Thanks

I knew someone with a Sidekick that had a 22r and Toy axles... Man that thing could do anything! But the 1600 and the 1300 have the same mounting bracket, so I am guessing you could do it.

I'm pretty sure you wont get the stock sammy trans mated to the 22r without a whole lotta work. There are currently no parts for adapting the sammy trans to that engine. I personally don't think the stock trans would put up with a 22r. A 22r has around 140ft/lbs of torque which is more than the sammy trans can handle for long. I'm sure some people would ague that but I don't think the sammy trans is particularly stout. So if you want the 22r then you will want the toy trans too. It will fit with a little tunnel massaging.

That toy 4WD tranny is such a pig. Anything lighter that goes well with a 22R or 22RE ?

if you have a built sammy t-case, you can sell it a get a lot of your money back. Those go for big bucks on ebay. If you are set on the 22r. Just run the 22r with toy trans and t-case with toy axles
