Sorry, for the wait, ya'll! www.alloffroad.com has undergone a major overhaul and is finally done! There is a writeup there about ERoCC with about 30 pics. Once you're done there, go to my site, www.patooyee.com to see the rest of the ~200 pics! An aftermath shot of the Unimog roll can be found there. Have fun!

yeah, being light colored like that i bet they really helped out. i think just your attitude and confidence helped him out alot ...

this is why every cage builder should have some centered downsupports on the windshield hoop.

I hear he was running 15 lbs! My view on that is, how much clearance do you really need with portals and 48" tires! I thought he should have run them without any air. I hear that's what you have to do with those big, thick military sidewalls. It was the rear steer that sent him toplling in the end though. I think he would have gone over even if he had 38" tires.

WOW!!

48"s with 15 psi are a disaster on a slick rock!! they are so thick, stiff and hard with their 10-12 ply sidewalls, they had probably acted as springs and that helped him a lot to jump upwards and perform a wheely.

i guess you're right and such tires should be ran on rocks
with 0 psi(with beadlocks) or close enough to that.

Close, but it also looks awfully empty in there:D

Awesome pictures and a great write up! I really liked the picture of the Unimog right when it is going over. The look on the guys face is priceless.

Thanks!
