Alright guys, I have an 89 suburban 1/2 ton that was previously owned by fish and game in Washington, I was told it had an extra heavyduty leafs in the front because they had a snow plow on it. it's an incredibly rough ride in the front, and i'm wondering what I have to do to get this thing back to riding "somewhat" normal. I thought it needed new shocks, but after looking at the leafsprings it probably needs both..

also, the front end is alot higher than the rear, I don't know if its lifted, how would I check?

heres some pics of the front springs.. is it just me or does this not look right?

I thought leaf springs were supposed to look like a stretched out U, these almost look like they were put in upside down,, or they're shot to shit?

help me pirate4x4:eek:

ps these are the front leafs, the back look normal.. i think?

That is nothing heavy duty, those are factory springs and that is how they are supposed to look. Doesn't even have the dual shock option

Yup, and the rear has probably sagged. They all do.

Front stock leafs don't have arcs.
