I figured I would post this here since my axle is a Chevy axle.

I want to turn my 12 Bolt into a full floater and convert it to disc brakes and put it on my 4Runner. Does any one know of some good web sites for tips on doing this? Or can any one give me some good tips on doing this?

TIA

Scott

I know Warn makes a full float and disc brake kit for the 12 bolt.I think its almost $1k for the kit with out the disc brakes.I think I would stick with the Toy rearend unless your looking for the extra width.

Those kits arent worth it, the majority of them just leak so you should save up and go for a 60 or a 14 bolts. Thats my opinion.

Damn!! Almost 1k. I would love to stay with the toy axle, but I am putting a 44 in the front and going 62". One of these days I might go to a 14 or 60.

Thanks,

FF kit from warn is about $850, by the time you add disc parts you'll be around 1K or over. Thought about a SF 6 lug 14 bolt? Or just put good shafts in the 12 and run it? I put together a really nice 12B FF with all the goodies but I think you could get more bang for your buck. Kind of depends on what you're willing to pay to get a 6 lug FF axle. Your only other choices are pretty pricey also.
