Classic American musclecar. 1965 Chevelle Malibu, clean driver. VIN starts 13537. Original VIN and data plates intact. Tagged, smog exempt, drive anywhere today. Clean title in hand.

Motor/tranny/rear: Small-block 307 from a later Chevelle, bored to 327, cam, Weiand intake, Carter AFB Carb, new headers with custom dual exhaust from Mesa Muffler (Magnaflow mufflers), rebuilt HEI distributor with MSD module and MSD 6AL ignition. New MSD Blue Max wires. Solid Turbo 350 tranny, shifts hard, B&M shifter. 10-bolt non-posi rear with 3.08 gears. Electric puller fan, car runs 195 in full desert heat. Brand new battery. Fresh oil and filter. Runs great and cool. Starts every time. Runs strong.

Body: Clean, no rust, driver-quality red paint, bubbled in about four spots, starting to rub off in high-stress areas (door sills, etc.). Looks great from 7-10 feet. Body is very straight with no excess bondo to my knowledge. Skim coat on righthand rocker panel. Does have typical dings and dimples, but you have to look very closely. No rust on body, underbody or frame. Trunk pan repaired at some point, otherwise very clean in that department. Rear fender lips notched and folded to clear tires.

Wheels/tires: Brand-new -- less than 200 miles -- Weld Prostar wheels with BFG ATs (275/60 rear, skinny fronts). Front discs and rear drums, manual. Power steering. Rear drums just rebuilt and diff fluid changed. New stock rear springs.

Interior very clean. Newly redone seats, door panels, dash pad. New 3-inch RJS lap belts. New tach, new Sony stereo with Infinity 6x9s in rear. New package tray and padding.

What the car needs: Upper/lower ball joints should be replaced soon as boots have rotted away. Headliner in great shape, but doesn't match the rest of the black/red interior. That's it.

Nothing weird at all with the car. Drives straight and true, no weird noises. Not show quality, but beautiful driver car that draws attention. Car is just not practical for me and I'm getting over the classic car fixation for now.

Sale price: $16,000. Based on regional prices of other cars in this class, this is a very fair price.

Will consider partial trade for one of the following, plus cash from your end: a street-legal, moderately built LS1 F-body (Camaro/Firebird). Built Fox-body Mustang. Or possibly a clean older CJ5 or CJ7 that hasn't been butchered up. Possibly a clean TJ (post 97) Wrangler. No other trades considered.

Will provide any more info or photos you require. Contact me directly at azamstaff@yahoo.com. Thanks.

Note that I'm willing to accept clean CJ5/7 or early TJ with AC as a partial trade.

Figured there would be some interest from the gearheads on here.

Thanks, man. It's a cool car, absolutely turnkey. I'm just getting tired of old cars for now.

Last bump before I let this die. Remember CJ5/7, TJ, maybe even EB or FJ40, unhacked, as partial trades.

Had a couple of trade offers, particularly interested in the EB, but it needs too much work.

Really interested in a clean, late-90s TJ with air, stock or mildly built, as a partial trade. Anyone?

I have a 67 CJ6, I know its not a 5/7, but its worth a shot. It has the original Buick 225 with a T350 trans. Almost all original with a 2" Rancho lift and 32" BFG muds. Has military issue fold out windshield. No stereo, brakes work great. Have about 8k in receipts from prior owners milk restoration. Let me know what you think at srgmotorsports@hotmail.com

Sounds cool, but I think I need to move toward a newer TJ that can be a comfortable daily driver for my wife and something I can goof around with as the mood strikes.

Would even consider a TJ AND an older V8 CJ5 to minimize your cash output. Car drives great; I take it to work a couple nights a week.

Got any performance specs on it?? Also, any more interior shots? I've got pretty much exactly what you are looking for as a possible trade.

No numbers as I use the car as a driver/cruiser. Sorry. It's a healthy motor, but it's still relatively small. As they say -- without power adders -- there's no replacement for displacement.

With the massive engine bay in these cars, I figured the small block would keep it as a driver until a suitable big block was built :D

Here's the only other interior shot I currently have

I'd be happy to shoot some more if you give me an idea of specifically what you're looking for.

Feel free to contact me directly at azamstaff@yahoo.com with other questions and info on your trade. Thanks.

Still available. Drove the car today after washing and waxing. Drives like a champ, I just want to get back into 4x4s.
