hey i was trying to search but i could not find anything.

and since i am a toyota person and don't know crap about american made vehicles i need some held please!

my friend has a suburban and the steering is really loose. there is a ton of play in the wheel. i tried to find an adjuster nut to tighten the gears up. (toyota's have one built so the steering can be adjusted and the play taken out of the wheel!

thanks!

All that play is most likley tierods and ball joints. Have someone turn the wheel while you are looking at the suspension and find out what is moving and what isnt moving. This will give you a ballpark idea where the play is.

That Box will also have an adjustment screw in the top cap just the same as a Toy box. Just loosen the locknut and using an allen wrench turn it a 1/4 turn at a time until you reach the desired backlash.
That Saginaw box will get tight in the center of the steering arch when it the adjustment screw is tight.
