I'm looking to see what length RE and the other after market manufacturers are making their lower control arms.

Not the longarms but the standard arms.

Can one of you saps take the measuring tape out to your rig and measure measure one for me?

Thanks in advance :flipoff2:

Measure your stock ones. I ran the RE SA kit last year and they are the same as factory (if I remember correctly).

False.....They're a little longer than stock (1", I believe), otherwise, with the lift on, your tires wouldn't be centered in the wheelwells.... Not sure of the length, and I don't have the Heep with me at the moment....

For XJ LCA's anyway, the fixed length RE ones are 16.25"... stock LCA's are 15.75"...

I agree. Which brings up another point: The length is going to depend on the springs you plan on using. I'm sure you plan on having some degree of adjustability in the arms. If you use the factory arms for a measurement consider that the short side measurement.

Thanks for the bickering and measurments folks.

Heres the deal, I picked up some non adjustable RE Upper control arms and now my cheap ass is looking for a deal on lowers

(Good Luck right!)

I take a look at the lower control arms and noticed that alot of the travel is limited by the bulk of the lower control arm.
At droop the stock control arms act as limiters when they contact the shock and coil mount on the axle.

I have some hitch tubing sitting around I have various bushings and rod ends sitting around. I have a welder and I just paid the power bill so why not see what I can come up with :D

Maybe some one will see this and remember that they have an extra set of LCA's sitting around and give them to me :D

I wish you would have posted this a few weeks back. I just got rid of my skyjacker lower control arms...measured 17". Gave them to a friend in exchange for welding brackets on my new rear axle. I just went to Tera long arms.

My current arms measure in at 15 15/16", unknown origin since a friend gave them to me. They're tubular with the "screw" center joint, charcoal gray, black urethane bushings, and black boots.
Love how they perform.
