How low can i set the float level and still drive it up the highway without it starving. Its on a 302.

Hey Nick... You can actually remove the top of the carb and run it at idle. Makes it easy to see and set float level. An expert once told me to set the float level 1/8" below factory specs for the best up and down hill performance. Both my Jeeps had that setup on Buick V6's and it always worked great... Both my carbs came off 302's... :D:D

I set mine at 1/4 in. below the recomended rebuild setting. I use it on a 351W. It works fine on road and off.
