I am swapping out my 4 banger for a 4.3 chevy and 4l60e. I have the wiring diagrams for both vehicles. I am working on the ignition switch. I need to use the relay in the chevy fuse box because everything is already wired from it to the engine.
My question is??? Do I need to use the chevy fuse box to send power to the ignition?? or can I use the jeep wiring sending power to the ignition and intercept the Yellow wire going to the relay, send that to the chevy and the rest of the wiring is already done after the crank wire???
Baisicly, will the chevy cranking/starting relay still function if I leave the power to the the ignition from the jeep fuse box?????
I am not going to use the chevy fuse box for the lights. I am going to keep the jeep fuse box for all non engine functions.
