That's the plan!! We did not get to it last year, but we'll be there 7 days this time and that one is definatly on the list! I'd like to also run upper proving grounds again. I hear the waterfall is now much taller than last year! (got that new Warn 8000 to test out) :D :D :D

Are you hauling on the flat bed and the trailer? Did that work out ok? Was wind a problem?

Steve is hauling my Sami on the back of a 1 ton Dodge, then towing that big blazer on a trailer. I'm towing Jayon's truck behind my GMC on Danny's bumper pull trailer. It all gets kind confusing.... :rasta:
Yes, we tested the flat bed idea a couple weeks ago, and it worked great. We had a good cross wind (prob 15-20 mph) and it had NO noticable effect. The 1 ton actually rode MUCH better with the Sami on the back than without! We did not need to tie the body down, I just turned up the settings on my 9000's to keep the body roll down. :)
We'll definatly look like a freek show going down the highway! :D :D

A buddy just gought a LowPro Top Kick (2 ton) with a 3116 Cat motor and the Allison automatic tranny. He has a 32' tandum duel goose we are hoping to use to haul 2 rigs to Clayton (maybe Disney) Memorial Day weekend. The trailer probably weighs as much as 2 sammys though. If it all works out well then that is probably what we'll use for Moab next year. (I'm hoping Moab works out.)
How far is it from Tulsa? Do ya'll go thru Denver?

Moab is about 1,000 miles (1-1/2 day drive) from Tulsa.
No, we avoid going thru the passes in Colorodo. We'll stay south thru NM then turn up towards Farmington around Kline's Corner. I don't know the exact route yet, Danny is our route planner and pace setter. He is driving the Freightliner and a two car goose neck with the yellow TJ and the Bronco. He can't fit that rig thru some of the passes in Colorodo. Besides, we hear there is still some snow up thru there. How was your trip Oilburner?
If you are planning on Clayton, keep in mind that many of the trails are closed, and they are handing out $150 fines if you are caught in the wrong place (and there are NO signs)! There is still lots of stuff to do, but you need to know EXACTLY where you are at at all times, or a game warden will inform you with a ticket $$... :(
