Andy,

Welcome. My first 4x4 was a Series IIA. My wife, Sheila, learned to drive in it and took her driving test in it. The tester got a kick of how well Sheila could double clutch (a rare thing now days).

I've had that Series IIA since I passed my driving test (12 years ago).

It is in fact the first car I brought.....the Discovery is the second :)

Hi Andy. Good to see the numbers building up here. Guess you'll be wanting the traditional welcome then?

S. England = Bournemouth. Most of 'our' laning is Salisbury Plain and the surroundings. No laning happening at the moment cos most of the LRs are under repair or rebuild at the moment (insert "shoulda got a T*y*ta" joke here :) )....and we're a bit distracted turning an old Freight Rover minibus into a camper which we plan to take to Southern Spain in the summer.

Gonna start contributing summat useful soon :D

Bournemouth, ahhh, spent many happy, rainy, cold winter days surfing by the pier. also at Kimmeridge bay. Would like to drive over the rocks there :)

I'm already t*y*ta'ed up, Just with the 3.5 V8 in it.

Done salisbury plain a few times, gotta love those tank proving areas :smokin:

go to the ridgeway area near Swindon alot with a 4x4 group on Yahoo. Not a million miles from you.

Later.
