I'm pretty sure the spring perches would be 31.5 - 32" apart. That's about the same as the YJ, is'nt it?
You could probably get a better answer on the Ford or general boards. Actually, just search. I'm sure the anwer is already there.

Duh... I know what the Knight is but I also said check their links page. Here is a link that you should find your answers http://www.s10extremist.org/ . Hope that helps. I was putting Toy axles under my 85 S10 blazer when I blew the engine in my big bogger. Sold the whole thing to put a new motor in. I plan to start another soon.:smokin:

s10extremists.com is good, but it isnt as extremist as the name may suggest, alot of bodylift talk and torsion bar tweakin, I want to chop my shit into oblivion and weld it back together with booger welds, roll it, and start over! I have seen every s site there is to look at, most s owners just dont thrash there stuff the way I want to mine. which is all good, I just want to try something diffrent

Exactly what we wanted to do. :D

Don't know of any other s-sites. I know CK5 started an s-series section on their board but haven't really checked it out too much

As one of the original members left from the old S10 site, I can tell you that S10Extremists.com is not even close to as hard core as it is here. The info and tech is there, but you have to know which members to ask. That is the reason I have put the alternate link in my sig here.

Alot of the people out there don't want to hack and cut their S trucks up and just work with the IFS. What Pdaddy wants to do is go insane with his. I understand what he is going through, cause it's exactly what I'm going to do to mine.

An SAS with an S truck is really very common. Unfortunatly, without finding a site like this, you are going to be stuck using the Dana 30 front. I'm sure all that he is looking for is someone that can help him with spring selection and steering aspects.

Hey Pdaddy, Email Mark and bounce your ideas off of him. He has pretty much seen and done it all with an S truck. He might make you work for some of the answers, but he will get you going in the right direction.

I have the springs and the steering,(and the sas done) I was really just interested in the width (factory) from the spring perches on the ford axles, I got that answer already from the ford board, and a bunch of shit for bein an s10 guy, but hey it comes with the territory. I aint baggin the s site, just sayin it isnt really what I am into. I intended to drive my sblazer as it is until later in the season, then as it gets poopy around here I am pullin my YJ axles and goin fullsize! anyone want to buy my YJ chits
4.11s ez-locker in the rear?already for your s10 perches set and all!!! (shameless plug for axles):flipoff2:

As long as you get the perch width the same, what's the problem swapping? I mean, this isn't rocket science. If you started with a 4wd S blazer a Ford front axle only makes sense.

I've checked out s10extremists.org and I find it lame. Whiteknight is a kewl truck, but it's not an S10 by any stretch. Some people would say the same about mine, but I have to work within the limits of an S10 chassis and body, so it's an S10 :)

Most people who do serious swaps on S10's distance themselves from the "rest" of the S10 crowd because they are usually lowriders or cheap or rednecks with welders or whatever.

And yes, I did a fullsize axle swap into an S10 (pickup).

did you read anything I already posted? I know all I need is the spring perch diffrence, since I already have a fuckin SFA, I was basically askin if anyone had the perch widths of the ford axles and if anyone here had done the swap, I know its not rocket science, I was just daydreamin at work and wondering, I already got the perch widths from the ford board, please for fucks sake let this thread die!! :flipoff2: (I agree the extremist site is lame, look at this thread for example!!!!!)
http://pub95.ezboard.com/fs10extremistsfrm6.showMessage?topicID=525.topic

I dont see much extreme happenings over there. and this thread is a fine example of why I tend to stay away from that site. There are some good guys over there with good knowledge, but damn there are some dipshits!!

After running across this post a few days ago, I was stunned a bit... In reality if you think about it 90% of the guys/gals out there who wheel are not hardcore... The other 10% are hardcore addicts that build their rides up just to ride them, break them, fix them, then do it all over again... For you (PDADDY) to come here and state that "MY" website is lame just goes to show what type of person you truly are... "LAME!" As with anything you have to take the good with the bad, some know more than others... Remember you did not know anything at one time either... What if someone said these things about you back then... There are indeed some hardcore guys over there who wheel with the best of them... Just the same there are guys who are new to the sport and should not be frowned upon because they have no clue what they are getting into... To say that this post pissed me off would be wrong, but to say it didn't bother me would also be wrong...

In the end, I'll leave you with this simple question... When is the last time you did Tellico with an S10 and looked good doing it... (I thought not...)

Anytime you think the guys there are lame with their S10's, sit back and compare yours with some of the ones there before making judgement... I currently own 8 of them and have one set up for every purpose... I have two being built this summer just for rock crawling and one set up for MudPit Racing so don't give me your bullshit about being lame...

Anytime "YOU" (PDADDY) want to try Tellico, please let me know, I will be there a day before waiting on you...

Sorry about the flame everyone, this guy just hit a nerve for no reason...

All I can say is I hope one day, I have the money and time to come run tellico, I would in a second. and it isnt a my rig is better than yours or any of that crap, Its because I love to wheel. I posted that the site was Lame, not because it is a bad site, it just doesnt cater to what I like. I have no intrest in making my truck "look right" with mud after I wash it, I dont find 31in A/Ts all that exciting. And I could care less about how pretty my truck is. Your site is just fine for what it is, and that is great for you and the guys that dig it, I stated before There are some guys there that are real knowledgeable, and have some cool rigs, but like anywere on the net, there are some real dipshits. This is my opinion, take it or leave it. I mean damn Fyrman even said its kinda lame, isnt he like an original member or something, and I am sure he ment it the same why I do, it isnt a site that is all that extreme when you get down to it. Its just another S-10 site with the same problem as most model specific sites. And when did I ever state that YOU were lame? I guess I should feel honored that you felt it neccasary to sign up to pirate4x4 just to comment about my post here, I hope you stick around and browse a bit.
