I am wanting to put fullsize under my lil s10 blazer, it already has straight axle (d30) under it and is spring over, I am wondering what the center to center width on these axles is, so I know what I should do for my swap, change my whole front spring mount, or reweld perches. my donor is goin to be a 77.5 to 79 F250, I am lookin at two diffrent trucks right now. (d44 front/d60 rear)
Thanks Ford guys :flipoff2:

damn none of you ford tech gurus know the width of the spring perches on a D44 front axle? I at least had a guy give a guess on the chevy board!

Close to 34.5" The '86 on up went 3" wider:(

With more Ford parts in that Chevy it'll be running right in no time:flipoff2:

Just measured my donor truck ('79 F-250) 32" center to center. :D

I get the feeling, you guys are either tryin to confuse me, or you just want me to go to a junk yard and measure myself

34.5 - 32 those arent even close !? I must say though, and it hurts to agree with a newbie, but he sounds more in the ballpark of what I have heard and looked at! good job newbie :flipoff2:
And eric, my truck doesnt discriminate, it knows good parts when it sees them,
94 toy frt bumper
chevette emblem on tailgate
ford (dana) axles soon
4.3l w headers and stuff (great lil motor!)
ford shock mounts
lots o Jeep stuff right now (axles)

Well Ultim8 must be right as he actually got out and used a tape measure. Me, I tried to go from memory :flipoff2:

Good luck.
