Detroit goes into my D30, just wondering if any particular lube is needed or if the one stated is ok.

This ain't rocket science. :rolleyes:

A: It is a front axle, that will not see torqe put through it except when you are wheelin'.

B: If you are like a lot of wheelers, you change axle oil almost as often as engine oil. Unless you get synthetic gear oil for free (like I do:flipoff2: ) it gets expensive after a couple of oil changes.

Synthetic gear oils like the 75W90 started out in the heavy truck industry, where axle and tranny oil usually goes a million miles or more between changes. It is pretty expensive, but what ever floats your boat.:rolleyes:
