OK,
I have a truck that my wife bought me for my 25th b-day, so I am attached to it. It was a surprise and she was getting me a truck just like the one I had when we got married that I had to get rid of.
The thing is, this truck is in bad shape, the motor needs a rebuild (the heads were laying in the ground when her brother picked it up) the cylender walls are gunked up with rust and surface grime. The Carb and Intake are Shot so are the exhaust manifolds. I want to evntually have it rolling on 38s or 42s. so a little bit of suspension work will need to be done.
The main delema I am having is WHERE DO I START BUILDING? I have a limited budget. Right now I have about 2K to start building, but I need to purchase the welder, and other fab tools as well.
So where would you start if you were in my shoes? would you get the suspension and axles done first? would you work on the body and frame? or would you start with the heart of the beast and get it moving under its own power first?

I am sorry if you think I need to search frist before posting this. Like I said I have read through every one of the TOTW and TOTM's and have not found the info. I am after.
