Ok I am a long toyota fan so please see past that haha

My father has a 99 jeep YJ with a rubicon express short arm kit with the tera flex sway bar. He is running rancho blows and is looking at getting a new set of shocks that would be better for the road and the trails. So what do you jeep guys run?

I run bils all the way around on my 4runner but his jeep are is abit more tippy and need a little stiff shock correct? He was looking at the Rubicon E shocks with the res that are made by eldabrok that also makes the pro comps. The res on them looks like it could easyly be hit under flex...meaning the shreater valve that connects the res to the shock. Please let me know what you think are the best...money wont hold him back if it means better

i ron rancho 9000s on mine and love them. have a buddy running pro comp mx6s and he loves those. i like the adjustability. firm on road and softer off or vice versa. its up to you.

A 99 YJ would be a TJ.

The regular RE monotube would be fine for your dad. They are a fairy stiff shock but not real bad.

The silver procomps are extremely similar to the OME's which are softer than the RE's.

That being said, I ran Edelbrock reservoirs on my TJ for 5 years and never had a hose or schraeder problem. They are between the RE and OME as far as stiffness. Mine were mounted similar to the instruction sheet provided with the shocks.
