Found this on ebay and thought it looked interesting...

anyone ever use something like this? thinking I might get one since it looks like it would be way faster than using a hole saw. I have already asked the seller how you change the notching angle. im just waiting for his response

also got a response that it only notches peprendicular to the tube. kinda eliminates that option

They work ok for things like handrails etc, but the are not accurate.
I would stick with the hole saw for cages, bupers, sliders, etc.

Looks like a waste of money to me.. you can buy a good hole saw notcher for same/less. It doesnt look like it has much if any adjustment for the angle of cut??

Check out this link: http://www.lowbucktools.com/notcher.html

It explains a little about how to notch angles. Basically this notcher takes a half-moon cut from the tube, so you make a cut on both sides to get a fishmouth. Doesn't seem very accurate...

"Able to notch Sch 40 pipe!", "Half Moon Notcher, to join two pipe."

I did not read anything about notching tubing, only pipe in their description. The title says, "NOTCHER Steel Pipe Tubing Mechanical Tube Notcher", but that is not the manufacturers description, instead the sellers.

Search for "lowbuck" here. That kind of notcher has been in use for years and can be used if you know how...
