I have a 1977 EB with swapped in Full width RC44. I have the headers on my rig, but they seemt o get in the way of my exhaust. I was looking, Can I run the mustang stock headers? I have an auto, and will keep it taht way forever, so will the stock Mustnage headers work on this thing?
Dimitri
Any of the shorty headers(stock or otherwise) should work with your setup. The problem with the late model shortys is when people run with the mechanicle(sp?) clutch linkage. They want to dump down where the 'Z' bar attaches to the block. All late model ('80s) Mustang clutches used a cable setup that routed from the rear so the pipes didn't need to clear it. This won't be a problem with you staying with the C-4 auto( or C-6).
Go for it.

Hey are you talking about stock headers or manifolds? Early or newer mustangs?
The newer mustang shorties should work with an auto since you don't have the clutch linkage. The older mustang or stock eb manifolds will definetly work, thats what I am using.
Check classicbroncos.com on the shortie headers I know some of those guys are running them.
