I am swapping a 300 into my Toyota, and need to know if the motor mounts from a Ford v-8 will work for it. Otherwise I will have to make my own. As I can't find any mount made for a Ford v6 to be swapped in a Toy. Thanks.

I know on my swap into a ranger I had to grind the alighnment pin off the 5.0 mount and oblong the hole on the pass side to get them to work..

giver a try..you might get lucky...or ask on the toyota forums...

gotta love the 4.9!!:smokin:

Cool, did you build it up before you put it in? I just finished building mine. Should be good for about 200hp + on propane.

Cool, sounds much like mine! :)

I'm surprised you're building a 300 for a toyota though.. don't they have good engines for them?

Yeah, it had a 22r carbed motor. Ran fine, but at 275,300 miles it blew a head gasket and cracked the block. And I've got a butt load of Ford trucks around the ranch, so I am swapping in a 300 from a 84 f-150 with the 4 speed and a 205 t-case. It almost doubles the hp, and more than doubles the torque, and it's all in the low end of the rpm spectrum. Which is nice. I have had fords all my life, but around here the tougher trails are barely wide enough for Cj's, let alone an f-150. I like trucks more than jeeps, so I went with a toy.

Anyway, I'll see what I can come up with. The motor is in and transmission/tcase in as well, just need to bolt it down and finish wiring. Gotta love the 3 foot shifter in the small cab. Thinking about keeping it stock length. Give it the old rat fink look.
