I am getting a clunking noise from my front brakes. It only happens when I step on the brakes hard. Otherwise everything is normal. The front is a waggy 44 with the chevy outers. the front axle shafts are disconnected at the hub and there is no driveshaft so that shouldn't be a factor. I have pulled the front apart and can't find anything wrong anywhere. However, when I stomp on the brakes it sounds like something is banging together. The back is a waggy AMC 20 with GM style disk brakes. I have looked those over too and can't find anything there either. I don't know what to look for now. Bearings are tight, disks are clean, and all the bolts are tight. Any ideas?
