Concrete is being added.

That's right, at least one section of the course will be a concrete section that includes a climb and crack lines....

It was a good turnout and I think that it will only get better in the years to come when they expand the course.

I had a blast....:D

It was good making new friends and seeing old ones.

We stole the spectators from the sand drags, which was really cool.

Next year the show will not include sand drags (so rumor has it) so we will be able to run the event more like a regular event.

Can't wait, for the additions to start. the site will be great....:grinpimp:

Rich Did a great job with this one. He had little to work with as far as courses go but did a great job keeping spectators interested and the thing running. If he said 1pm then he was there at 1pm. it makes an event so much better when it goes like that. I can't wait to see what he builds out on the site, it shouldbe cool next year and continue to grow.

We tried to give a bit of a show to the crowd I think we all did a good job with that.

Thanks again Rich

Look for large pieces of concrete and more slurry to hold them in place next time. The course is evolving and we will be working on it before next year. The spectator area will also be improved. Hats off to Rich for making the best of what he had.

It was a great weekend. A big thanks to Rich for all the hard work. Congratulations to Matt and Craig on there win. This being our first event we learned a lot watching them show us how you are supposed to run a course. 4 wheeling sure changes when there is a crowd and cones. I will post up our pics tomorrow.

Hey Rich we had a great time and cant wait for the next one to come around. You had a pretty good turn out for this event and had alot good people show up to compete, good job to all who competed. Hope all had a good time as well and will start thinking about competing in rock crawling, we need more competitors and off-road junkies to keep this sport going for the future. By the way I guess I have to say good job to Wayne and the big guy with the blue shirt whats his face (my dad) a good job and congrats on there victory you guys earned it. Wayne it was a plessure as always see ya next year.

And again thanks to BIG RICH, CAL EXPO AND THE VOLUNTEERS FOR GIVING THERE TIME AND SUPPORT.

Here's a great quote or signature line for someone:laughing:

That is one of the classic's

I remember the first ARCA in AZ, Lower Woodpecker trail, heres the baddest assed wheelers in the states, driving what was then considered some of the roughest obstacles to date. And local guys standing in the crowd trying to tell me that they drive the trail in a CJ7 with 31 and take the same lines that the competitors were driving:laughing:

Anyway, it just like anything else..... if nobody is watching it's easy

Thanks to all the competitors, Medic Mike and Steven, the volunteers and the Cal Access staff for making it a fun weekend. I wish they were all this easy:smokin:

Yeah Rich I agree with Eric It was alot of fun, and we will be back next year but probly with a better looking driver.....now the spotter will not be as handsome as Ron (Erics Dad):D I wanted to say nice job the the 2 toyota drivers who were in the 35" and under class. If points were given for sheer determination and huge Huevos you guys would have won, I hope you have the bug now and will be back next year with lockers gears and saftey cages. then it will be a blast.

Eric thanks for giving us the heads up on this even it was for a great cause and a ton o fun. Make sure you tell Ron I really appreciated him spotting. As always You get better with every run during the day and you had us sweating hard during your last run. Next year we need to make the Crawler drag race happen:grinpimp: lets try to show up on friday and run em during practice or talk to the anouncer about an exhibition run during a break.

See ya at the next one.

Wayne

Now where did I put that trohpy.............??????? it's around here somewhere.......???????:D :D :D

We would like to thank Big Rich and all that participated in this years event, you all were a big hit. The pictures are great I was working in other areas most of the time and I missed most of the excitement. Next year the sand drags will probably be on a diffrent date so the rocks will be the big headliner.
Again we Thank You so much for a job well done.
