Hello all.... I'm new to this board. I'm going to post two pictures here, one is a side view of my current Scout. I'm told that the scout stuff that is on it is from a 68. The vehicle did not come with a title. The second picture I'm going to put on here is my current problem.. the bar from the steering box to the passenger wheel bent. This vehicle is strictly for the mud. Any ideas on a fix, or what all vehicle bars will fit in its place. Thanks in advance.

Try searching:flipoff2:

Does the front window fold down. That will narrow the model down.

Both your tierod and draglink are bent. search www.ihonlynorth.com, then give him a call.

Yeah, we probably could have figured it out without the blaring red circle:rolleyes:

Google this site with terms tie rod or drag link. Some good stuff out there.

Ths is the hi steer in my 63. Your steering looks like scout II to me.

*edit*Now that I look closer, it looks like thats a closed knuckle 30 if its a 68. You cant do high steer on it so your only option is IH only or D&C extreme. Or swap in an infinately better Dana 44 front.

Wicked sweet square tube 'roll cage'...

Fuck it! Just weld angle iron on them both! It's just mud.

It is a Scout II front so open knuckle but it is a D30 so you are just polishing a terd. But like Slip said, pull them off beat the shit out of them till there close to straight and weld some angle iron on them, the'll be fine for your purpose. and x2 on the square tube cage.

That rig needs to be taken out into the woods and hit in the head with a shovel. Please save it from a life of continued pain and anguish:( :(

The only 'bar' that you need is one that serves whiskey, and 'what all'.... :barf:

If you don't know what a drag link and tie rod are --- you need to find a different web site :shaking:

I would like to know how grooved TSLs do in mud...Isn't grooving tires exactly opposite of what you would want for mudding?

I still don't even see what the problem is. I can see where he circled, but what's wrong? Are you not supposed to use wood for a chock block?

Why are the rims so clean on a "mud only" rig?

What's wrong with that? Don't you know you have to do a "Z link" to clear the leaf springs?

Yeah , except that is a U link....:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

yes, but the U link is superior to both the z-link and high-steer, in both strength and uber-coolness:smokin:
