Hey all,
I hope you guys are the answer to my prayers.
I have a 67 highboy with 6" of lift and 40"ground hawgs, king pin 60 in the front and a 70 in the rear with lockers.
I swapped in a 435 from a 74 highboy and trhe divorced 205 as well from the 74.

My problem is that the trans yoke is a 1330 series yoke and it is the smaller diameter ID tail housing so I cant get a 1350 yoke for it.
I just rebuilt the trans and dont want to swap it out for one with the 205 style yoke so I am going to try to find the tail housing and buy a new yoke.
Is this doable?
How much difference is there in the transmissions? Will the output shaft have to be changed as well?

Any info would be greatly appreciated because I just snapped the ear off my third trans yoke and ruined my second driveshaft so I believe that the 1350 joints on the intermediate shaft are a must at this point.

Thanks

C'mon I cant be the only one here that has encountered this problem.
What have you guys done for the broken U-joint syndrome?

Go to CompleteOffRoad.com and drop Mike an email. If he can't help try jeff's broncograveyard.com . I would think you could find a divorced housing from a '79, that would have the 1350 series u-joints.

I don't get it.. you say you got the tranny and transfer case from the same 74 highboy? Did you not grab the tranny/transfer shaft as well? Why do you have the wrong yoke?

Anyway, I would just head to the junkyard and find the tailhousing & yoke off another tranny.
