Man, that thing's gonna have some ass! I'm jealous! How much pounding and cutting did you have to do to get it in?

none its and 86 f250 pickup. 77 lincoln 460, edelbrock alum intake manifold, lunati/holley truck avenger cam and lifters. hedman headers, flamethrower coil, l and l motor mounts, and holley pro jection. i used the stock 351w aluminum radiator. used 86 f250 460 rad hoses and waterneck. i used the alt and powersteering pump from the 351w motor and rigged some mounts for them using some of the 351w parts and some of the 460 parts, and they work better then they ever have before. also used a flex fan and 2 inch spacer. was able to use the stock duraspark system cause i found a 460 distributer (82 ford van with a 460) with the same wiring and plug as the 351w dist had. cant wait to tow with it:)

You could just hot wrench that oil filter hole a little bigger, you dont lose any support from it, and no lines hangin around...
But ya probly knew this :flipoff2:

got the oil filters, yes 2 of them, on and started the motor up and timed it. the projection needed a little tuning on the 460, it was on the 351 i took out. just had to turn the main idle adjustment up a little, adjust the tps, then a little fidling with the knobs on the puter and wala. man yah gotta love the sound of a 460 with open headers. dont know if the neihbors liked it though:). anyway shes runniing good. mufflers are mounted just have to wait till monday to get the tubing and thats all she wrote:) :)

p.s. i did all this and only punched the truck once, but the bodywork is the next project.

I am getting closer with my 460. I need to know where is the #1 cylinder and where is the #8? Need to put some plug wires on tomorrow.

well i got everything done. took it for its first drive, and guess were i went? yup the gas station. she runs great is nice and quiet at and idle with a small blip blip from the cam but gets nice and loud when i get on it. def has more power, i can tell the diff especially with the 1200lbs of axles that have been sitting in the bed for the last couple months. that first drive is always a bit stressful, your running through everything in your mind, did i forget anything. anyway it all went well i am happy its done. what a way to spend a vacation
