For my YJ swap, I am having some troubles deciding what to do with the fuel lines.

The chevy engine is an 02'. The YJ is a 95'. I an going to try to use the stock fuel pump first. If it doesn't work I am going to add an inline.

I called summit and the tech guy said he had nothing for me. Sounds like I didn't explain well enough or he.......

I want to use braided lines because I think they will be easier. To do that I need a flare that I can't make. Unless I were to use an an adapter with the o ring and replace the entire length of line from the back of the block. From the back of the block not the fuel rail. The other option I have thougt about is getting a line made up from one of the companies that will fit into the fitting on back of block and have the flare on the other end that will allow me to use hose clamps and 12"-18" of rubber line to connect to the fuel filter.

What do you think? and is there something I am not considering/problem??

Thanks

the problem is that you don't have a red star... Because if you had a red star, you could utilize the search function and get your answers alot faster

my 95 YJ got a 2000 4.3L and the stock Jeep pump. Not a single problem

I can't remember what fitting a vortech motor uses, if it's the same fitting as a tbi motor you can buy a fuel line repair kit at the parts store for around $10, they have the special flare on the end of them. I've never setup the fancy braided lines my self but i hear they are a major pain and they are super expensive. I know to just run hardlines flairng them my self and keeping the hard line that went into the throttle body (connecting with a compression fitting) on my buggy I probably have $50+ into fuel lines and a filter.

I picked up repair sections at my local Autozone that plugged right into the fuel lines on the engine - proper flare & o-ring on one end, and a blank tube on the other. I flared mine to accept the rest of the fuel hard lines I'm using.

I'm pretty sure I also saw a pair of fittings in the most recent Summit catalog that went straight from the GM flare/o-ring setup to AN fitting. I can't find my catalog right now, otherwise I'd find them & give you the part number. I know they were a new item that was just released in this catalog - I hadn't seen them before.
