There's a bunch of pictures of different rigs on CB. 100" is pretty realistic, and what I'm shooting for with mine.

streching what way?
as in the body, or just the wheelbase?
Only one of mine I can find, that semi current (may) and a side shot.
I am at 104 wheelbase.
John (crazyhorse) added some in at his door pannels, I forget what his wheelbase is at now.

I did mine 2 inches about 7 years ago, didn't do it the best way though, just drilled new holes on the top couple of rear leaf springs & moved the pin & everything back a bit. seems to work out ok though..

Yup, mine is 4 linked in the rear, and both front and rear moved, I forget how much on witch though.
The rear is pushed all the way aginst the gas tank.

Great looking EB Mark!

My buddy stretched his EB, and all of that was in the rear. He linked the rear as well.

Clanye,
I been involved in stretching a couple of EBs on leafs, we extended the frame in the rear, and built a new crossmember, then cutout the old cross
member for clearance. The springs were pushed back 6" on one & 8" on another, and by swapping springs accomplished a net wheelbase gain of
8 inches and 10 inches respectively. Let me know if I can help.
Happy trails,
Joe:smokin:

I used some offset jeep springs in the rear and plan to simply move the front suspension forward.

Aren't there stability benefits moving the front axle forward? Getting the motor weight behind the axle instead of on top of it?

Not so much a loss of stability, but a different handling completely. It changes the weight bias, and will affect how it climbs and drives. Whether that is good or bad, depends on the application, and the driver.

Stretch my eb body to fit on my 78 chassis. I'm guessing about 2 feet, added around 18 inches to the rear and 6 inches to the front.

Thanks for the two pics(both bronco look super) and thanks for information on how you guys stretched your EB. I really like that rollcage on your bronco, bluenight, its pretty cool. If I had one like that it would have saved me from some body damage. Here are a few pics of my JUNK!

I would also like to see where people relocate their fuel tanks especially in a link set-up. I know alot of people place it in the back but I am trying to kepp mine a 5 seater for the family. :smokin:
