PLEASE HELP ME if you do, or know someone that does.

this is from my other thread that got off track.....
why does this not line up right?

help!

what am i doing wrong?

the bolt on blue torch bracket can not go on the other side of the flange b/c it's a complete circle.....

so what am i doing wrong?

using blue torch fab bolt on brackets....

85 3/4 ton gmc front brakes as per blue torch's parts sheet

there is no room for a pad on the bracket side!

what am i doing wrong?!

ps- don't mind the spray paint, it'll all be black once the isntallation is done :)

i bought the brackets and i can't get squat to line up when i attempt to install the caliper and pads. the rotor is too close to the bracket....

i used the parts list supplied with the brackets, but its obviously wrong somewhere.....

can anyone help? please? i'm so lost, and BTF can't seem to help solve this problem with anything more than a guess or assumption....

thanks

I think we'd all be guessing too, so here goes. The parts store gave you the wrong stuff. Go back and compare your calipers and rotors to be sure.

i verified all part numbers for rotors and calipers.

they only had 1 box of pads in stock so i had nothing to compare to however they fit the calipers perfectly....

BTF tells me they had a typo on their parts list and listed another rotor, but after searching google it seems that the rotor part number they gave me would be used for a FF 14 bolt disc brake conversion, not a ff dana 60 conversion....

the parts list supplied by blue torch fab is correct EXCEPT the rotors... rotors need to come off a 1975 K2500 GMC 3/4 ton pickup. part numbers 141049 @ advance auto parts....

finally... my brakes are done.
