What are the advantages of a beadlock wheel over drag-race style screws (with or without tubes)? Around here, I see lots of people with they're 16.5's screwed. Just wondering if this would be a good option for me to do with my 39.5" swampers on 15x10 rockcrawler wheels.
Thanks

No experience but I would imagine that with any lateral force you would rip the screws right out...I say do it right and get beadlocks...

Wheelers with jobs and money run Beadlocks.
Back woods Rednecks run screws :flipoff2:

Ok, and here's another. If I'm in a situation like jumping at the dunes, wouldn't a tire on a beadlock/screws blow up on a hard impact as opposed to blowing a bead? I'd definatly rather blow a bead than need a new tire.

screws are used in drag racing because of the lack of significant lateral forces. That and most guys are running slicks with tubes. screws only keep the tire from spinning, not from unseating the bead. you notice circle track guys use beadlocks not screws. my buddy ran screws in one of his boggers for a while and it started to fawk up the bead pretty good.
