Wanted to see if someone knew where i could get an interior roll cage for my XJ
I don't really want an exo cage, not really worried about the body but I do worry about myself and passengers
I don't have access to a tube bender but I do have access to a welder so welding a pre-fab cage would not be a problem if I can find one that will do the job in case of a roll over

I would prefer a full cage inside verses just a roll bar
I have seen people that have cut the top and built a cage but like I said, this is my dd so going topless would not be very practical
I did read about welding channel iron to the "frame", and I have a question about that to, what type of welding/welder do you need to weld to the "frame"?

Before I get flamed for being a "newbie and not using search", I did, found some pretty good info but not really what I'm looking for :rasta:

You could hack the top, weld in a cage, then weld the top back on......

i encourage you to check out NAXJA.org
a fellow there who guys by the handle
"XJGUY" has started his own xj niche parts company. hes quite stickler for detail, and the cage is going to be released imminetly. as far as i know, hes just workin out legality stuff.
i know he has it for 2 and 4 doors, avail in HREW DOM and 4130.
there are 8 and 10 point versions, and many add ons as well.
its unintrusive as well, and takes up a minimum amount of usable room.
in any case, check out NAXJA.

Here's a crazy idea I have been kicking around...

Install a stock CJ roll bar in the cargo area, install Rusty's bar behind the front seats, tie the two together and fab something up for the front. Yea, crazy idea that probably won't work.

Anyway, there is a group buy for those EOR cages and the XJ internal is like $359 of something. I don't think that cage ties to the frame rails though.

the eor cage is questionable IMHO. the way the supports are run and not braced. check out the EROCC pics of the mog that rolled and hos his cage was made and how it collapsed. granted it was a hard roll but if your gonna build a cage damnit build a cage so you can use the thing after its gone over a few times....
