ok my stepdad wants to replace the bench seat in the 77 f150

he wants to stay with a regular bench seat in it

i cant find any place that sells new ones for these trucks, anywhere

i figured i would go to yards and look for something but i really have no idea what might work

who has put a bench seat from what year make models of trucks into one of these '70s ford trucks ?

thanks for any ideas, info, options

Any 73-97 F-250 & 73-95 F-150 seat is a bolt in deal using your seat tracks bolted to the new seat.

dude. DOOD! you need to go look around for a fullsize caddi or a lincoln. they have gargantuan bench seats. most with power, leather, center console thingie, and PLUSH. thats what ill be doing to my truck when i get the funds or my badass seatcover wears out :)

ive also gone to the swapmeet, and picked up one of those aftermarket bench seats with the center console for cupholders and whatever else for about 300 bucks, and they were VERY comfortable.

hi there well none in any of the trucks thisold are any good are worse than the one in this 77 by far,

the 77 one is worn out inside,
all the springs and stuff are junk but the upholstery is nice shape

he doesnt want a fancy power one or anything like that, he would like to have one with a fold down middle though if at all possible

but i have no idea what might fit without a huge amount of welding etc

anyone have any ideas what to do ?

need a seat for this thing like yesterday, been trying to find something for months now

thanks

like leadmic said go to a junk yard and get a seat from a 80-96 f150 or 80-97 f250 and bolt your tracks off your seat to it and it will bolt right in. I guarantee one out of a 96 f150 or a 97 f250 is in better shape than what you have.

right, i understand

its just kinda complicated, hmm

plus another technicality here is that it doesnt appear that the bench seat in it right now is factory either, it has new hardware and bolt holes dont look like they are in factory position in the floors

hmm

thanks

I'm going to be doing the same thing pretty soon myself.. only problem is I have a crew cab, so I need front and rear seats.. and I'd really like to have shoulder belts in the rear for the kids.. or even a harness. I was planning on doing some cage work on the inside.. not sure what to do. I could either go with 2 of those seats with the built in shoulder belts, or put harnesses on the cage.. anyone have any opinions?

Thanks!

Its been a long time since I've had the truck, but I think what I did is use the stock seat brackets and put the new seats on top of those and used some angle iron to get the correct mounting holes.

Here's a link to every single replacment part for that seat. You might even find a complete one in there, I didn't look to hard
