after seeing "blueballs'" drill bender ( http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e8/blueballs2u/DSC00968Medium.jpg )
i thought of an idea. could you rig up a threaded rod with a nut on the end and have an impact gun powered bender? ive never used a bender, so i have no idea of the forces needed to bend.
just a thought

The pulsing from the impact gun would prolly distroy the transmission..

unless your using real tubing... 1.75 4130. might be easier to make the threaded shaft spin rather then the nut

Or how about an eletric motor?

i meant without the transmission. just a strait threaded rod (??1"??) with a nut on the end of it. no transmission.
what kinda power does an impact gun put our? 600ft/lbs?

you would have serious frictional losses. If you want to do it cheaply just use an air over hydro ram, I got mine for $50, I'm not happy with it, but I am sure it works better than what you are describing.
