MattyL13 10-14-2006, 10:58 AM anyone know where i can get an PCM for a 97 dodge ram 2500 cummins auto? mine took a dump. i dont feel like buying a new one at dealer prices but im not having good luck with the auto slavage companies either. are there any after market "performance" type PCMs available? hy_desert_4wheeler 10-14-2006, 11:12 AM What problem are you having?? the 97 PCM does not controll anything on the engine while it is running,it only controls the overdrive and lock up in the tranny,the grid heaters, and the charging system.. If your truck is not starting you may want to check thet the fuel solenoid is working properly and that you do not have any leaks in fuel suction lines..
