i know that this has probably been posted here quite a few time but ive never heard of anybody swapping in a newer 350 into a scout...so i was looking around advance adapters website today and much to my suprise found about 4 options for us scout guys:shaking: i was lookin for an adapter to my tf 727 to my soon to be new tbi350. i saw that they did have one for the 727 to the v8 pre 86. only thing is mine is a 90. i would like to keep the 727 in there so i dont have to screw around underneath with the cross members and re re do everything. what have any of you guys done with a chevy 350 newer than 86??

thanks

Bellhousing pattern is the same on all chevy v8s. If the kit uses a special flexplate that's probably the big difference. In 86 they switched to a one piece rear main seal, which uses a different flexplate/flywheel than the older 2 piece crankshaft.

Did you try calling them to see if they have anything available for the newer engines?

You need to get a external balance flexplate....... 86 and older 350's were internally balanced at the crank :cool2:

I just bought a newer flywheel cuz I went chebby trans also :flipoff2:

AA just emailed me back and said that they have a couple different options, a general adapter needs frame rails atleast 32" and 90deg. from ground, then another part needs a v6 torque converter...
