: fuel tank air bubbles

since people were starting to ask gay questions like "what spark plugs do I use?" I figure I would be okay to ask probably a BB question. When filling my scout up, I tend to get these air locks that shoot gas out all over. The only way to prevent it is put a little in, let in bubble and breathe and continue filling once more for 10 seconds and let it bubble again. This takes about 15 minutes to fill my 30 gallon tank. Any ideas?

Check your vent tube... make sure there is not a low spot or it in not clogged. Also, on the "air vapor nozzels" (or what ever they are), pull the rubber thingy away from the filler neck... don't let it seal. They are a PITA and will serioly cause issues with filling.

If you have efi, DON'T "T" the return line into the vent hose, you will have all sorts of filling issues.

Remeber, all the gas you pump in, displaces air, and you need to get that air out some how.

Unless you got a piched filler neck (possible), check and recheck your main vent hose (like 1/2" dia)
